There are two principle ways people make money online with websites on the internet today. The first is to produce a very large authority site that is designed to generate an extremely large amount of traffic and a considerable amount of revenue. Of course this is incredibly time consuming and requires a great deal of work not only just to get the site up in the first place, but then to also maintain it by constantly adding additional unique and interesting content.
The second way people make money online is by developing hundreds of micro niche sites. These websites are usually less than ten pages long and once they are completed there is no other work required. These types of websites will of course not receive very much traffic or make you too much money on their own.
But, if you have anywhere from 100 to 1,000 of these they can produce a considerable sustainable income that comes in like clockwork each money. There are a few key elements to this type of business plan that you must understand before you attempt to implement it.
First, you need to purchase your URL’s or names of your websites for less than $1 each. Second, you need a low cost hosting package that allows you to put an unlimited number of websites on it; these can be had for around $100 per year or so. Third, you need to be able to create at least three of these types of websites in a day, if not more. Most people that follow this type of strategy use WordPress as their software of choice for designing the websites.
Another consideration that is very important in this process is to pick out a few profitable themes and stick to them when you are making your sites. Then you want to make sure to link them together for two reasons. First, they will count as back-links for the search engines and help you produce traffic. Second, you can send the traffic you do receive from site to another site within your network of mini-websites.
